Galpin Scythe Concept
Galpin Auto Sports (the second shop from MTV’s Pimp My Ride) revealed what they can do with a Mustang chassis and a little extra time. They call it the the Scythe Concept, and it will be making its full premiere at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

GAS powered this beast with a twin Magnuson supercharged 5.0L racing engine with custom ported 24-valve SOHC cylinder. The total output should top out at 1,005 horsepower. A GAS custom fabricated intake manifold, custom performance grind camshafts and a custom electronic shifter complete the powertrain of this one-of-a-kind vehicle.

Aston Martin is looking for a name for its future open-top DBS
Roadster and Volante - these are the usual names for the open-top models from Aston Martin. But the topless version of the DBS may not follow the same rule.

An Aston Martin spokesman said that the company is still looking for a name suitable for the sports-car and that it “is not sure this will be Roadster or Volante.” The company is currently using the Roadster name for convertibles with two-seats and Volante for a four-seats, but the DBS is something a little more special that may deserve it own name.
David Beckham’s Bentley for sale
David Beckham, ya know the soccer star, is selling his fully equipped and customized Bentley Arnage T. The car was specially built for Beckman, and it’s the car he used to get knighted by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace.
BMW developing world’s first multifunctional car key
Now that car keys have going electric (like having proximity sensors) have you ever wondered what else it may be able to do? How about a credit card? BMW announced that it is working on what it calls a “multi-functional” key. Developed in cooperation with NXP Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, the new key could be used by drivers in order to pay general shopping, paying at the gas station, public transport, parking and road tolls, replacing the need for cash or additional cards.

Hamann Volcano based on the Mercedes SLR
As you may know, Hamann represents a well-known German tuner specialized in tuning high-end supercars. The latest creation of the tuner is the Hamann Volcano based on the Mercedes SLR supercar. In order to offer a little preview of the vehicle the tuner released a video which presents the new vehicle. The new kit for the Mercedes SLR includes a carbon-fiber front lip spoiler, new side sills, a re-designed rear bumper with new rear air diffuser and a big rear wing spoiler specially designed in order to improve the stability. Also, a new set of black wheels was added improving its looks.
Jetta TDI Cup Airs on Speed Channel
Hey, this is pretty cool, seems that the VW Jetta TDi Cup, where they take diesels and actually race them, will be on TV. On the Speed Channel no less (ah, the need for off-season programming). The coverage starts Sunday, October 26, 2008, and is actually on at a decent hour.
Hyundai is preparing Passat CC competitor
Hyundai may be taking a page from the Germans. This spy shot shows the Korean company is working on a four-door coupe in the same vein as the CLS and Passat CC. It will be built on the same platform as the new Sonata and most likely will share engine with it. If anything materializes, it will see the light of day no earlier than 2010.

Mercedes SLR 722 S - new images available
Mercedes revealed today a new image gallery of the 2009 SLR Roadster 722 S that made its world debut at the Paris Auto Show. The 722 S will be limited to only 150 units and will be available by January 1, 2009.
